Dear
Lori,
In
this mid-month, mini newsletter, we will explore one of
the 8 major areas of the Wheel of Life. This month we
will focus on Personal
Development.
If
you have perfectionistic tendencies, you probably feel
that no matter how hard you try, it is never good enough.
Maybe you spend too much time getting things "right" in
order to avoid criticism. No doubt you probably have very
high expectations of yourself and others. As psychologist
and researcher Monica Ramirez Basco explains, "uncontrolled
perfectionism can lead to depression, low self- esteem,
fear of failure and broken marriages and friendships."
Who
you are is good enough right now. You don't have to achieve
some level of success or be some vision of another person
to be lovable and worthy of acceptance. This doesn't mean
you can't grow as an individual. It merely means that
you don't need to place conditions on your self-worth.
You and everyone else is worthy of unconditional love.
This
month work on accepting the strengths and weaknesses in
yourself and others.
Have
a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,

Lori Radun, CEC
