| Whether
your profession is motherhood, an at-home business, or
work outside the home, being proactive and intentional
is a must if you want to get anything accomplished. When
you wake up in the morning, what do you want your day
to look like? What would you like to get done? What do
you want to avoid? How much time do you need for yourself
to relax? What will you do for fun today?
Putting
together a plan for your day gives you the best opportunity
to create your day the way you want it to be. Otherwise,
distractions, other people, and unimportant tasks will
take over. Before you know it, the day will be over. As
you reflect, you may feel disappointed or stressed because
your day was not what you would have liked for it to be.
So before
you go to bed at night or with your morning coffee (tea),
visualize your day. State your intentions and write down
your goals. Focus on what you have decided is going to
create a good day for you. When distractions arise, deal
with them and get back on track. As long as your goals
are reasonable, you will feel a sense of accomplishment
at the end of your day. You will discover you have the
power to create the life you want. |
